The Spies of Arlington National Cemetery
Come learn about some of the Spies buried in Arlington National Cemetery. These quiet heroes lived extraordinary lives and in some cases, made the ultimate sacrifice. Along the way we'll stop at the Kennedy gravesites and the Tomb of the Unknown soldier, both of which are sites not to be missed during a visit to the cemetery. We'll also visit the PanAm Memorial and the Beirut Barracks Memorial, in addition to sections 34 and 59. If visitors want to visit a particular grave we can also adjust to make that possible.
We cover a lot of ground on this tour that may take up to 3.5 hours, depending on the size of group and the amount of time it takes us to get through security screening. Visitors will undoubtedly leave with a sense of the beauty and solemnity of this hallowed ground.
We will meet as a group before going through security screening at the ANC Welcome Center. The meeting location is outside of the Welcome Center gates, by the "Arlington National Cemetery" sign shown in the pictures.
Hi. I'm Rosanna, a member of the Atlas Obscura community.
I'm a 15-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency’s Directorate of Operations and have developed a series of spy-themed walking tours in and around Washington D.C. Visitors are treated to an insider's perspective (and stories!), while exploring the espionage history of Washington D.C.'s neighborhoods and landmarks.
I'm also a lifelong resident, licensed tour guide, and member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington D.C.
Co-host Daniel is a highly sought after City Guide, Tour Director, and Educator who has welcomed visitors to DC since 1992. He's also Rosanna's Dad (!), and knows all of her secrets....or some, at least.
